Pocket Menace · Havoc Hoops
Privacy policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Pocket Menace is an independent studio operated by an individual developer. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit pocketmenace.com, play Havoc Hoops, or contact us. Pocket Menace is responsible for the information we process to operate these services. You can reach us at contact@pocketmenace.com.
Havoc Hoops is currently in development. Some features described below, including production advertising, are being prepared or tested and may not be available in your build. Test advertisements can still involve processing by the ad provider. We will update this policy as the game’s data practices change.
Information saved on your device
The game saves your chosen display name, avatar and cosmetics, solo scores and lifetime statistics, coin balance and rewards, challenge progress, tutorial progress, audio and vibration settings, and advertising preferences or counters. Multiplayer also saves a session credential and cached ranking information so you can reconnect to your player record.
We do not require your real name, email address, or a social-media login to create a game profile. Choose a nickname that does not disclose personal information. Solo progress is stored locally; it is not automatically uploaded to our multiplayer server. Your device’s own backup settings may also affect copies of local app data.
Online multiplayer
When you connect to multiplayer, our server creates or retrieves a random player ID and stores a hashed session credential, your multiplayer coin balance and coin transactions, rating and peak rating, number of ranked matches, and match settlement records. We use this information to reconnect you, run matches, settle coin entries and rewards, maintain rankings, and prevent duplicate payouts or abuse.
During multiplayer, the server also processes your selected display name, avatar and frame, room or match identifiers, scores and shot events, ball position and movement, connection status, and preset reactions. Your opponent can see your display name, equipped avatar and frame, rating, score, ghost ball, and reactions. The game does not provide free-text or voice chat.
Live match information and profile presentation information are held in server memory; they are not saved as a permanent chat or ball-movement history by our game server. Persistent player, coin, and ranking records are stored separately. Our hosting provider, Railway, also processes network and technical information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service, which can include IP addresses and connection logs.
Advertising and privacy choices
The game includes optional rewarded ads and ads between eligible solo runs. Its advertising integrations are Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads and Unity LevelPlay, including ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. Availability depends on the build, platform, and enabled ad networks.
Ad services may collect or receive IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, advertising and other device identifiers, device and operating-system details, app information, ad views and interactions, and performance or diagnostic information. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, diagnose problems, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Collection depends on the provider, device settings, and your privacy choices. The game does not request precise GPS location, camera, microphone, or contact-list access.
For production ads, the game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present privacy choices where required before requesting ads. When available, you can revisit those choices through Settings → Privacy Choices. You can also use your device’s advertising privacy controls. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all ads; contextual or limited ads may still be available, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.
We do not sell player records for money. Advertising disclosures can nevertheless count as “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. Where those rights apply, you may opt out through the available Privacy Choices or contact us. We do not treat an ability to request an ad as permission to personalize it.

This website and email
This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or contact forms. It does not set application cookies or use browser storage. Fonts and images are served with the site. Our website host, Netlify, may process IP addresses, requested pages, browser details, and other technical request information to deliver and protect it.
Email links open your email application. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you send through our email provider, Google Workspace. We use that information to respond, investigate a problem, or handle your request. Please do not send passwords, session credentials, payment-card information, or other unnecessary sensitive details.
Who receives information
Information is shared with the service providers described above for hosting, email, and advertising, and with an opponent as described under multiplayer. Their handling is also subject to their applicable privacy terms. See Railway’s privacy policy, Netlify’s privacy policy, and Google’s privacy policy.
We may disclose information when legally required, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or to protect people and our services. If ownership of the studio or game changes, relevant information may transfer subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
Why we process information
We use information to provide requested game and multiplayer features, maintain progress and rankings, deliver permitted advertising, respond to support and privacy requests, and protect the service. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in security and service operation, legal obligations, and consent for processing that requires it. You may withdraw consent for future processing without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Retention and security
Local saves generally remain until you clear the game’s app data, remove the relevant saves, or uninstall it; operating-system backups can affect removal or restoration. Uninstalling does not itself delete multiplayer server records.
Persistent multiplayer records are kept to maintain returning players’ balances, rankings, and match accounting. They do not currently expire automatically. You can request deletion as described below. Support correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request and related issues. Any information retained for a legal, fraud-prevention, or security reason is limited to that purpose and the period it remains necessary.
Our providers have their own log, backup, and retention practices. Removing active records does not necessarily immediately remove every provider-managed backup. We will explain any relevant retention limits when handling a deletion request.
We use encrypted connections for the public website and hosted multiplayer service, hashed multiplayer session credentials on the server, and restricted access to operating accounts. No system can guarantee complete security.
Your rights and deletion requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also be able to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, including deletion of Havoc Hoops multiplayer data, email contact@pocketmenace.com with the subject “Havoc Hoops privacy request.” Tell us what you want to do and which game profile or interaction your request concerns. We may need additional information to locate your record and verify that it belongs to you. Do not send your session credential or password. A nickname alone may not uniquely identify a player.
Deleting a multiplayer record removes the associated progression, balance, and ranking, subject to any lawful retention we explain to you. Local game data and provider-held advertising data may require separate action. We will help explain the steps applicable to your request.
Children
Havoc Hoops is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without any consent required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Different age or parental-consent requirements may apply where you live.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. These countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, international transfers must use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards.
Changes and contact
We will update the date on this page when this policy changes and provide additional notice or seek consent where required. For questions about this policy or your information, contact contact@pocketmenace.com.
